6 Axis Breakout for Smoothieboard V2

 

This board is an expansion which plugs directy into the gadgeteer headers on the Smoothieboard V2 based boards.

It allows full breakout of all necessary pins to make use of the 6 axis capability of the firmware as the V2 Prime only has onboard drivers for 4 axis.

The 40-pin header with allows custom breakouts to be added for direct machine interface (i.e. DB25 connector, harness, etc). This make it easy to connect a machine up to 6 axis, including min/max endstops and extra switching and signals.

Features:

-6 5-pin headers supplying 5v/STP/DIR/EN/GND with bidirectional level shifters on the signal lines

-6 buffered and ESD protected endstop inputs to add ABC min/max to the already onboard XYZ

-4 Small NFET (2N7002) which are connected to HWPWM outputs from the Smoothieboard

-1 3-pin header for UART0 connection (bidirectional level shifted)

-1 3-pin header for E-stop button (Debounced and bidirectional level shifted)

-40-pin 2.54 (.100”) header for full machine breakout with all onboard signals.

This board requires a V2 Smoothieboard to operate. It is designed to connect to the GD-GG header.
